After graduation from law school, Ms. Tyler was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas J. Meskill, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She began private practice in Florida and was a partner at a defense firm representing hospitals and other health care providers there for ten years. She returned to Connecticut in 1992 and has been a partner at two medical malpractice defense firms. Throughout her career in both Florida and Connecticut, she has specialized in the defense of medical malpractice claims and has worked with health care clients on administrative, regulatory, and licensure matters.
Ms. Tyler attended the University of Connecticut and Southern Connecticut State University then worked in information technology at Hartford Insurance Group. She graduated from Stetson University College of Law in Florida then completed a federal court clerkship in New York.
Ms. Tyler was a member of the board of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence for many years, was recognized one of the organization’s “Women with Impact,” and continues to be active in the organization.
