Biography

Ms. Leary is a Principal at DANAHERLAGNESE, PC where her practice is focused exclusively on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and other health care providers against professional negligence claims. For over fifteen years, she has developed special expertise on cases involving emergency room medicine, obstetrics, neurosurgery, anesthesia, critical care and hospital medicine. In addition to her work with health care providers, she has represented medical device and product manufacturers. Her experience includes all aspects of health care claims including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, motions, trial and appellate work.

Prior to joining DANAHERLAGNESE, Ms. Leary practiced medical malpractice defense for over ten years in Seattle, Washington, where she was a partner with the law firm of Lee Smart, Inc. While practicing in Seattle, Ms. Leary was recognized as a “Rising Star” lawyer by Washington Law & Politics on multiple occasions based upon her professional achievements and recognition from her peers.

A big-picture thinker with an eye for details, Ms. Leary is known for keeping pace with a constantly progressing health care field. Always open and up to the unique challenges that come with defending claims involving complex medical issues, Ms. Leary routinely obtains consults with leading regional and national experts spanning a wide range of medical specialties. Ms. Leary also recognizes that in addition to providing the best defense possible, her role is to offer moral support to her clients, who are outstanding medical professionals facing a very difficult situation.

Ms. Leary obtained her J.D. degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in May of 2000, where she graduated with top honors and in the top ten of her graduating class.
