Biography

Mr. Plumridge practices civil litigation and medical malpractice defense. Prior to joining DANAHERLAGNESE, PC, he practiced defense litigation at a mid-sized defense firm in Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. Plumridge has experience through all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial, and appeal. Mr. Plumridge is one of the contributing authors of Connecticut Medical Malpractice, the leading Connecticut treatise on medical malpractice law in Connecticut.

In the medical malpractice defense context, Mr. Plumridge has participated in the successful defense at trial of cases involving neurosurgery, general surgery, neuroradiology, diagnostic radiology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, primary care medicine, cardiology, as well as other medical specialties. In addition to his medical malpractice defense work, Mr. Plumridge also has experience in coverage litigation, having represented both policyholders and insurers in coverage disputes. He also has experience in products liability litigation and has represented products makers in both the Federal District Court and the Connecticut Superior Court.

Aside from his trial experience, Mr. Plumridge practices in the Firm’s appellate department. Mr. Plumridge has experience in all phases of the appellate process, including briefing and argument both in federal and state court. Mr. Plumridge’s experience includes having argued cases in the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Connecticut Supreme Court. Mr. Plumridge has experience as appellate counsel and taking over the defense of a matter at the appellate stage.

Mr. Plumridge graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University in 2008, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry. He then attended Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011. While at law school, Mr. Plumridge was a Dean’s Fellow and served on the Law Review as its Executive Managing Editor. Following law school, Mr. Plumridge completed a clerkship at the Connecticut Appellate Court, where he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Carmen E. Espinosa.
